Baltimore, April 1
We understand that a clear majority of the whole voters of the 5 th Congressional District, have signed the instructions to Mr. Isaac McKim, requiring him either to vote for the future deposits of the public money in the Bank of the United States, or to resign his seat.— Nat. Int.
Isaac McKim (1775-1838), in addition to serving a number of terms as a Congressional representative from Maryland, was also part of extensive transportation projects, serving on the board of the Baltimore and Ohio railroad, and building the famed clipper ship Ann McKim (named after his wife). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ann_McKim_(clipper)
